Abstract
A Florida paving company wanted to improve its bid process to win more contracts and make more money. The company used the lean Six Sigma define, measure, analyze, improve and control (DMAIC) framework to examine the process’s current state and how it responded to business proposals. The result? A streamlined structure for a scalable, competitive proposal system. The time it took for the company to respond to bids was reduced, the company’s contract win rate increased.
