Abstract

Implementing lean principles in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems can revolutionize how businesses operate by reducing waste and enhancing efficiency to optimize system capabilities and streamline processes. There are a couple of obstacles to overcome, however, such as system intricacies, employee pushback and ensuring lean principles are compatible with the ERP system’s capabilities. Success hinges on communication, gaining top management’s approval and ensuring staff are aligned with the transformation.
