Abstract
Leadership can be a challenging role in any organization. When the time comes for a leader to move from a position of leadership to an advisory position, a lot of old habits need to be broken. Rather than acting on impulse and fixing an issue immediately, the former leader has to learn to step aside, delegate and advise the successor. Following through on that change allows the organization to continue to grow even when the former leader is no longer available.
