Abstract
A trio of quality professionals and Lake County, FL election officials wanted to see whether there was opportunity to improve the already-mature election process after the 2024 presidential election. The group used the ASQ/ANSI G1: 2021—Guidelines for Evaluating the Quality of Government Operations and Services standard and an election operations best practice operational plan developed by an ASQ Government Division to evaluate one of the election activities. The group was able to improve some parts of the in-person Election Day process, with an eye on further evaluation of all parts of in-person and early-voting election operations and activities.
