Abstract
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has created many quality management standards over the years, including the ISO 9000 family. However, some of the terminology and definitions within the standards family are somewhat unclear, which can make it difficult for organizations to adopt the standards. Without clearer terminology, it can be hard for any two parties to agree on what is being discussed. Some suggested principles, terms, and definitions are included.
