Abstract

Corrective action should be taken after a failure’s cause has been identified and confirmed. Common corrective actions include redesigning a component, changing tooling more often and improving monitoring. Identifying a suitable corrective action may be more complicated when the root cause is human error. In cases of human error, it is critical to consider what part of the process allowed a person to make the mistake.
