Who Should Apply?

You may be a great fit if you are:

• An ASQ member in good standing.
• An early-career professional (approximately 35 and under or within the first 5 years of your quality-related career).
• Excited to grow your leadership skills and contribute to ASQ’s mission.
• Supported by your employer to participate fully in the program.

What You Commit To

If selected, you’ll take part in:

• An in-person kickoff at WCQI 2026.
• Monthly virtual sessions (June 2026 – May 2027).
• Mentorship and peer learning with your cohort.
• A capstone project, presented at WCQI 2027.
• Staying engaged through a private myASQ community.

How Applications Are Reviewed

Applications are reviewed by ASQ staff and volunteer leaders.
Reviewers use a scoring rubric that looks at:

• Leadership Potential – your aspirations and leadership story.
• Commitment & Readiness – your ability to fully engage, with employer support.
• Community Engagement – your history of volunteering, service, or thought leadership within the quality profession.
• Alignment with ASQ’s Purpose – how your goals connect with ASQ’s mission.
• Cohort Balance – ensuring a diverse mix of industries, experiences, and backgrounds.

Tips for a Strong Application

Be clear and specific in your essay responses (max 500 words each).

Share examples of how you’ve led, contributed, or made an impact to your school, organization, community, or the quality field.

Show how this program fits into your career and leadership journey.

Secure a letter of recommendation from a supervisor or senior leader who can endorse your potential.

Write and edit your essay in a tool like Word or Google Docs for easy creation; then copy and paste it into the application form.
